One-to-One Personal Training

For those seeking highly focused and accelerated progress, our one-to-one personal training at GBMA is the ideal choice. You'll receive the undivided attention of an experienced instructor, allowing for tailored feedback and a curriculum precisely matched to your learning pace, strengths, and areas for improvement. This individualised approach ensures you build a solid technical foundation, correct any habits early, and gain confidence in a comfortable and private setting before potentially transitioning to group classes.

This bespoke training allows for maximum flexibility in scheduling, fitting seamlessly into your busy lifestyle. Small Group Training

Our small group training at GBMA offers a vibrant and encouraging environment, perfect for beginners who thrive on shared experiences and a sense of community. With a maximum of 5 people per session, you'll still receive significant individual attention from our instructors, while also benefiting from the energy and camaraderie of training alongside fellow beginners. This setting provides opportunities for controlled partner drills, mutual support, and learning from observing others.

Our Instructors

You can train with complete peace of mind knowing that all our instructors are not only highly skilled and experienced but are also fully DBS checked and First Aid trained. This means they've undergone thorough background checks to ensure your safety, and they're equipped to handle any immediate medical needs should they arise, allowing you to focus entirely on your training in a secure and supportive environment.

Graham Bentham

2nd Dan Black Belt

Head Instructor, Fight Team Coach

Graham's martial arts journey began in childhood with judo. He later explored and developed a deep passion for various martial arts styles. In 2018, Graham started teaching sport karate and kickboxing, and since then, he has trained hundreds of students across all age groups. He has also coached fighters in point fighting, boxing, continuous, light-contact kickboxing, and full-contact K1. Many of his students have gone on to become English, British, European, and world champions.

Carlie Banks

1st Dan Black Belt

Instructor, Safeguarding Officer

Carlie began her journey in martial arts with taekwondo as a young child before transitioning to kickboxing during her teenage years. After taking a break for several years, Carlie returned to kickboxing when her two sons joined a local club led by instructor Graham. Carlie vowed to her boys she would get her black belt, and after seeing it through, this established her as a powerful role model in their lives.

Amy Cruse

2nd Dan Black Belt

Instructor, Membership Coordinator

Amy began training with Graham in 2018. Initially shy and reserved, she gradually gained confidence and started assisting in classes. Before long, she became a valuable member of the team and a role model admired by students of all ages. In early 2025, Amy earned her 2nd Dan black belt, achieving the distinction of being the highest-ranking student exclusively trained by Graham from white belt to black belt.
